Original stories set in the worlds of iconic video games are presented in this animated anthology series. Video games have burst onto the screen in a big way, and we celebrate the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations in films and shows. Clive Standen reprises his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the protagonist of the video game Space Marine 2. The episode takes place after the events of the game. Mentioned on the Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). The animation is beautiful, that’s undeniable. However, I have trouble getting excited about short episodes like this. They feel like an apprentice’s rehearsals. You can’t really get into it because you know it’s all over before you can connect with the characters. It was nice to see the celebrity involvement. Reeves and Arnie both play nice roles. It’s all just a bit too experimental and lacking in depth for me. Plus, if I had the chance, I’d go with the source material. I think I would have chosen a completely different set of games to worship. The Pacman episode was okay. But it was a demonstration of artistic freedom taken to its absolute limits. At least it made me laugh. Overall, I found the entire series a bit disappointing. 6 for the visuals.
